Fancy Rice

Ingredients/Materials:

  • Steam cooker
  • 2 cups rice
  • 1 tablespoon toasted cumin seed
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (according to taste)
  • 5 star anise
  • blue, red, yellow, and green food coloring (2 drops each)

Garnish:

  • 1 cup chopped onions
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp cashews
  • 2 tbsp walnuts
  • 2 tbsp raisins
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp chat masala
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

Take the cooker, add all ingredients besides the toasted cumin seed, set on white rice, cook for 15 min and check if cooked. If not cook for 10 more min. Add the drops of food coloring, cover for 5 minutes.

For the garnish; Toast the onions in the olive oil and gradually add all of the other ingredients. Then toast for an additional 2 minutes. Put on top of the rice and enjoy!

Crunchy Jalebi

Ingredients/Materials:

  • 1/2 cup all purpose flou
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tbsp besan
  • 2 tbsp plain yogurt
  • 1 tsp ghee
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 2 cups oil (for frying)

Sugar syrup:

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 3 cardamoms (crushed)
  • Red rood coloring (3 drops)

Procedure: First make the sugar syrup. Boil the sugar, water, and cardamom, until it forms a slightly sticky syrup. Then mix in the food coloring.

Jalebi: Make a pancake consistency level batter out of all of the materials, and fry in a jalebi shape. Fry until golden brown.

Dip the jalebi in the syrup for 3-4 minutes.

Salad Pakoda

Ingredients/Materials:

  • 1 packet salad mix
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp ginger paste
  • 1 cup besan
  • 1/2 water
  • 1 tsp chat masala
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp chopped green chili
  • 1 tbsp basil (chopped)
  • 2 cups oil (frying)

Procedure: Make a batter, dip the salad into it, and fry. Enjoy!
